On board Oceania Nautica

Updated: Apr 22, 2020

I was thrilled to receive an invitation from Cruises International to experience the Oceania Nautica first hand. From the moment one enters the ship one experiences true passion on board.

Oceania Cruises is known as the finest culinary cruise line in the world – the finest you can get at sea! These culinary delights have always been a hallmark that distinguishes the Oceania Cruises experience from any other.

On board a gourmet culinary program is offered, crafted by world renowned Master Chef Jacques Pepin. The Culinary centre is the first ever, hands-on cooking school offered on board the Riviera and Marina. Twenty-four cooking stations offer guests the opportunity to learn how to prepare dishes from around the world yourself.

The acclaimed Nautica has undergone a multi million-dollar transformation to create a virtually new ship that is both sleek and elegantly charming. Her decks are resplendent in the finest teak, custom stone and tile work, and her lounges, suites and staterooms boast luxurious, neo-classical furnishings. Nautica offers every luxury you may expect on board one of our stylish ships. She features four unique, open-seating restaurants, a world-class fitness center and spa, eight lounges and bars, a casino and 342 lavish suites and luxurious staterooms, nearly 70% of which feature private verandas. With just 684 guests to pamper, the 400 professionally trained International staff ensure you will wait for nothing.

Cuisine:

When you dine at any of the acclaimed restaurants on board the Oceania Nautica, you soon realize that the food is coming from the heart. During your cruise, you have the opportunity to dine at various restaurants:

The Grand Dining room offers European-inspired cuisine or delectable alternatives. Menus change daily with a choice of at least ten appetizers, soups and salads and twelve entrees at dinner.

Polo Grill embodies all the elements of a classic steakhouse offering beef favourites and seafood dishes.

Toscana, being Italian and just as Tuscan cuisine evolved from rich family traditions. Presented on Versace China, the dishes exemplify the essence of Tuscany.

Terrace Café is informal and inviting at any time of the day. Dine inside or at any of the shaded teak tables on the terrace.

Waves Grill offers relaxed casual dining on all-American favourites. Located steps from the swimming pool, Waves Grill offers an extensive mouth-watering luncheon menu.

Afternoon Tea is a celebratory daily event where staff present four-tiered pastry carts filled with freshly made sandwiches, colourful petit fours, scones and cream as well as wonderful desserts. All this while a classical string quartet plays in the background.

Baristas is a coffee bar offering java lovers espressos, cappuccinos, americanos and lattes prepared by master baristas.

Room Service is offered 24-hours a day, as you may choose to dine in the privacy of your suite or stateroom.

Our Menu: Maine Lobster and Daikon with Caviar; Fagotti Al Formaggio (Provolone-stuffed Pasta Purses with Butternut Squash Cream); Fillet de Boeuf Perigourdine OR Den Miso Glazed Sea Bass OR Mediterranean Vegetable Tart Tatin; Papuan Chocolate Volcano; Petit Fours and Macaroons.

Everything was perfectly prepared and presented with such passion, accompanied by delicious wine. We were all very satisfied and did not want to leave this beautiful ship.

Suites & Staterooms:

The generous dimensions of the suites and staterooms offer the ultimate in luxury. Penthouse Suites offer oversized living and dining areas, and marble and granite-clad bathrooms with bathtub / shower. The Ocean view rooms offer “floor to ceiling” views. The Owner’s Suite, situated at the back of the ship, was designed by Ralf Lauren. Both the Owner’s and Vista Suites are decorated with custom Empire-style furnishings from Italy with own dining area and so much more.
